Upgrade Policy
Program Files
Improvements to the program are made periodically from user suggestions, customizations and those initiated by myself. Each time this occurs, I create a new executable file named with a date of creation. I then post a notice on the user page that it is available. Upon request I send an email containing a link for downloading that file. There is no charge for this service for as long as you own the software.
New Installation
If you require an entire new installation due to a computer crash or other circumstances, and it is within 2 years of your original purchase, I will send an email with the necessary information for a new installation at no charge. However, if it is after 2 years of purchase, there is a $20 fee requiring a separate order. See below for ordering.
Tip: If you saved the original email containing installation instructions and the download link is the same, you may re-install from it, then request a free program file update.
Program on CD
If you obtained the software on a CD and you lost the program (not the CD), regardless of when it was purchased, you can re-install from the CD and then receive the latest program file update at no charge. If you chose to receive the program via download originally, you could have burned it to a CD for the same results.
PDA Software
The same new installation policy applies to PalmCogo and PocketCogo. Updates are less frequent for these programs.
Earlier Versions
No further updates are planned for the DOS or earlier Windows versions. Please contact me if you need another copy or want to upgrade.
Ordering
Go to this link to order. Use the 'hourly charge' item in the PayPal cart to equal the amount for a new QuickCogo installation. It is recommended to also order a CD or burn your own after the software is received via download.
